Le Meridian Cochin Resort & Convention Centre

Maradu is a weird place because it feels like it’s half city and half highway. Being at Kundannur Jn on the Alappuzha Highway means we are always surrounded by the sound of trucks and cars zooming past. This place is huge, a real resort and convention centre, so there is always something going on. One day it’s a massive wedding with a thousand people, and the next it’s some corporate meeting where everyone looks tired. We work the shifts, sometimes early, sometimes late, just keeping the gears turning. The humidity here in Kerala is no joke, so the air conditioning is basically our best friend. We don't spend time writing fancy slogans. We're usually too busy moving chairs or checking in bags. The highway is right there, so people are always coming and going. It’s a lot of space to look after, and sometimes the rain makes it a real challenge to keep the entrance looking okay. We just deal with things as they come. The staff here is a mix of locals and people from all over, just trying to get through the day and make sure the guests have what they need without making a big fuss about it. It’s a busy life at this junction, but you get used to the pace after a while. Most people are just passing through on their way south or into the city. It’s a busy life.
