Hotel Wayanad Palace is actually managed from the Pathikkal Building in Thrikkariyoor. That is over in the Ernakulam district. Even though the name says Wayanad, our office is here in this part of Ernakulam. It’s a bit of a funny thing, but that’s just how it worked out when we started the company. Thrikkariyoor is a nice area, quite traditional and quiet most of the time. The building we are in is a standard commercial spot. We spend our days here talking to people about their travel plans and managing the resort's needs. We don't have a big team of executives. It's just a handful of us making sure everything is working. We use simple English and don't try to sound like something we aren't. Running a hotel business is mostly about making sure the rooms are ready and the food is good. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the staff up in the hills. It gets busy during the holidays, but we just take it as it comes. We aren't interested in being a giant corporation. We like being a local business where we know our suppliers and our guests. If you’re looking for us, we are just in the Pathikkal Building, right in the middle of town. It’s a straightforward operation and we like to keep it that way for everyone. Most people find us through word of mouth these days.
