Ccgee Resorts is located out in Thrikkariyoor, which is near Kothamangalam. The address is Chambakottukudiyil, and it’s a place we’ve been looking after for quite some time now. It’s not a high-end luxury spot with a lot of staff. We just have some rooms and a bit of land with trees. Most days, I’m out there with a shovel or a broom doing the basic work. My family helps out with the guest arrivals and the phone calls. We don’t have a fancy reception desk with a computer. We just use a large notebook to write down who is coming and going. The trees provide a lot of shade, which is good because it gets very hot in the afternoons here. We have a few workers from the village who come by to help with the laundry and the general garden work. We aren’t trying to compete with the big hotels in the city area. We just provide a quiet place for people to sleep. Sometimes we have groups coming for local events or family visits. I spend a lot of time making sure the plumbing doesn't act up during the night. It’s an old property, so it takes a bit of effort to keep it all going. We don't use any professional photographers for our pictures. What you see is what you get when you arrive. We are just local people running a small resort business. It’s a steady and simple life.
