Almas Fish Trading Private Limited

We are based out in Karuvila, right in the Kottiyam area of Kollam. It’s a busy spot most days because of the fish trade we handle. Most of our work happens while other people are still sleeping, which is just the way it goes in this line of business. The trucks come in, and we have to get things moving before the sun gets too high. It isn't always pretty work, but someone has to do it. We have a small group here that knows how to handle the crates and get things sorted. The smell of the ocean stays with you, even after you head home for the day. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially when the rains come down heavy like they do around here. We don’t have fancy offices or anything like that. It’s mostly just the warehouse and the loading area where all the action is. Our neighbors know us well enough by now. We’ve been operating out of this address for a bit, and we’ve seen how the market changes from one month to the next. You learn to just keep your head down and focus on the fish. There are plenty of challenges, like keeping everything cold and making sure the transport doesn’t get stuck in traffic. It’s a basic operation but it keeps us on our toes every single day. We just try to get the fish where it needs to go without too much fuss.
