Aashiana Associates

Our office is over at number 40/3401, right near the TD Temple on TD Road. Being so close to the temple means the street is always full of people, especially on festival days when you can hear the bells and the chanting from our front door. Aashiana Associates is really just a couple of rooms with some old wooden desks and plenty of filing cabinets. We deal with a lot of paperwork every day, mostly stuff related to property and local documents. There’s always a stack of files waiting to be sorted or someone sitting in the chair across from the desk asking about a piece of land. The walls have a few maps pinned up and maybe an old calendar that we forgot to flip over. It gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, so we spend some time every morning wiping down the chairs. It’s not a fancy place by any means. We don’t have a receptionist; usually, whoever isn't on the phone just looks up and says hello when someone walks in. We know most of the people around here by their first names. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit by the window to use the natural light until it comes back on. It’s a quiet kind of work, even with the noise of the TD Road traffic right outside our window. We keep some drinking water in a clay pot to stay cool.
