Zoom Vallabh Steel Ltd has a setup out in Dugdha, which is near Gamharia in Jamshedpur. This is where the DRI operations happen. Sri Purnachandra Barik is our G.M. out here and he keeps things moving. It is definitely not a clean office job. There is plenty of dust and noise, but that is just how it goes when you are dealing with iron and steel production. We don’t have a lobby with fancy chairs or anyone to hand out brochures. It is a working site through and through. The road out to Gamharia can be a bit of a challenge depending on the weather, but we make the trip every day. We focus on the actual making of the product. It’s a lot of long hours watching the machines and making sure the process stays on track. The crew here is a tough bunch who have been in the industry for years. We don't talk much about goals or visions, we just look at the daily output numbers. There is always something that needs a bit of grease or a quick fix. That is just the way it is in this line of work. We are part of the industrial belt that keeps this whole region going. It’s hard, honest work and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. We are just out here in Dugdha getting the job done day after day. It’s what we do.
