Rumgong Block Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located right in Rumgong village. It’s part of the Rumgong block in East Siang, not too far from Pasighat. Our group is called Rumgong Block Farmer Producer Company Limited. Most of us here grew up in this village. We know every corner of these fields. We decided to start this company to help out with the selling part of farming, which was always the hardest bit for us alone. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a big building or anything. We usually meet up at someone's house or out in the fields to discuss what needs to be done. The work is mostly manual and it takes a lot out of you by the end of the day. Rumgong is a quiet place and we like it that way. We don't use any big marketing words because that’s not how we talk here. We just care about the crops and making sure we have enough to sell after we take care of our families. The road to Pasighat is how we get everything out. Sometimes it’s blocked, sometimes it’s fine. We just take the good with the bad. We are just a bunch of local guys and women trying to make the farm work pay off a little better. It’s not complicated, just hard work and a bit of luck with the weather. We hope the soil stays good for the years to come.
