Peging Bote Riga Block Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is based out in Riga village. It is under the Boleng police station and part of the Siang district. People call us Peging Bote Riga Block Farmer Producer Company Limited. It's a long name for a group of local farmers. We do most of our work near Pasighat and the surrounding areas in East Siang. Living in Riga is quiet, and most everyone knows each other. We started this because it was getting difficult to sell things individually. Now we try to coordinate a bit more. The hills are steep and the work is tiring. We don't have any big marketing team or anything like that. Just a few of us keeping the books and making sure the seeds are ready for the season. The Siang river is nearby and that's a big part of our life here. Sometimes the rain is too much and we just have to wait it out in our homes. We have a small place in the village where we gather. It’s nothing special, just some wooden chairs and a table. We talk about the prices in Pasighat and how to get our bags there without too much trouble. It's a simple life, really. We just want to keep the farms running and make sure the next generation has something to work with. There are no big secrets to what we do, just a lot of manual labor and hoping for the best.
