Vastutecture Design Studio

Vastutecture Design Studio is on the 2nd Floor of B-36, located on the Main Road in Madhu Vihar-Patparganj. We are quite close to Gurudwara Road. Since we are on the second floor, we have a good view of the street, but it also means we hear every horn and siren. The studio is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints, rolls of tracing paper, and different types of pens scattered everywhere. We have a couple of large drafting tables that take up most of the space. There are also some computers where we do the digital work. The floor is just plain concrete and we have a few rugs to try and make it look a bit better. We don’t really have a proper waiting area for clients. If someone comes by, they usually just pull up a stool next to one of the tables. We spend a lot of time arguing about designs and drinking strong coffee. The coffee mug stains on some of the papers are a common sight. We’ve got a small shelf with some architecture books that are a bit dusty. It’s a small team, so it’s very informal. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. Just jeans and t-shirts mostly. Sometimes we work late into the night and the street noise finally dies down. It’s a simple workspace that suits the kind of work we do every day.
