Ashok K Shukla Architects

I run my architecture practice out of a flat in Shakarpur. It’s building U 207, flat number 2 on the first floor. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always something going on outside. Ashok K Shukla is the name I work under. I’ve been in this building for a while and the space works well for what I do. It’s basically just a living space that I turned into an office with a few drafting tables and a computer. I don’t have a big receptionist or a fancy waiting room. Most of the time it’s just me working on residential plans or some commercial stuff. Shakarpur is a bit crowded, but I like being close to the action. It makes getting materials and meeting people easier. My day usually involves a lot of drawing and then going out to check on construction sites. The office is a bit cramped because of all the rolls of paper and old files I keep, but I know where everything is. It’s a very practical way to work. If you are looking for me, just come up to the first floor. The stairs are a bit narrow, but it’s fine. I don’t believe in having a flashy office when the work is what actually matters. Most of my clients are local people who need help with their building projects. I usually have the radio on in the background while I work to keep things from being too quiet.
