Telecottage

Telecottage is our little shop located at number 436 in Jheel Khurenja. This part of the city is very old and the lanes are narrow, so it can be a bit of a squeeze for cars to get through. We have been working out of this spot for a long time and it has become like a second home to us. Our main work involves fixing electronic gadgets and helping people with their mobile phone issues. The workbench is always covered in tiny screws and parts from different devices we are working on. It looks like a mess to an outsider, but we know exactly where each tool is. We don't have a lot of staff, just a couple of us who have learned the trade over many years. The walls could use a new coat of paint and the floor is a bit uneven, but it works for what we need. We get a lot of older people coming in who find technology a bit confusing, so we spend time explaining things to them. We don't charge much for the small stuff because we know everyone in the neighborhood. In the summer, the shop gets really hot because the sun hits the front door directly, but we have a small cooler that helps a bit. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the challenge of figuring out why a machine stopped working. We aren't looking for any awards, just trying to keep the local gadgets running for another few years.
