You can find us at J & K, 162 in Laxmi Nagar, which is a part of town that never really sleeps. Salasar International is situated in a building where everyone knows each other’s business. We have a couple of rooms filled with filing cabinets and a few desks that have been around since we started. The air conditioner makes a rattling sound, but it keeps the humidity down, so we don't complain much. Our days are spent mostly handling the back-and-forth of international trade paperwork. It involves a lot of phone calls and checking the time zones to see if we can catch someone before they leave their office. We keep a stack of ledgers on the main table because some things are still easier to track on paper than on a screen. The neighborhood is full of shops and small businesses, so there’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to borrow a stapler. We don't have a formal dress code or any corporate rules about how to speak. We just try to get the shipping details right and make sure the vendors are happy. It gets pretty loud outside during the market hours, but we just shut the door and keep working. It’s a modest setup, but it’s been our home base for a long time and we’ve got a rhythm that works for the whole team.
