Radhey Krishna Cholay Bhature

Our shop is at Plot No-1 on Court Road in Shanti Vihar. It’s a busy corner of Delhi, right near the Easy Day and across from Gitanjai Apartment. If you live around Shanti Vihar, you probably know the area well. We’ve been doing this for a long time now. Making cholay bhature is what we do every morning. We start early, getting the dough ready and the chickpeas soaking. The smell of the hot oil usually fills the street by the time people are waking up. It’s a small place, not a big restaurant. Most people just stand and eat or take it home. It gets really crowded on the weekends when families are out shopping at Easy Day. The Court Road traffic can be a nightmare sometimes, but that’s just Delhi for you. We don't have any fancy signs or a marketing budget. It’s just a counter and some big pots. I’ve lived in this neighborhood all my life, so I know most of the people who come by. We see the same faces every morning. Some are going to work, others are just out for a walk. It’s a loud, messy, and busy spot, but we like it that way. We aren't trying to be the next big food chain. We just want to make the food the way we’ve always made it and keep the shop running. We are just local people serving the community.
