R.S. Surgical Works

Our workshop is found at C/5 in Hazara Park, tucked into Street Number 2 in the Shivpuri neighborhood of Delhi. We are located quite close to the Chander Nagar Government School, so we often hear the kids shouting and playing during their recess. The street outside is narrow and usually full of parked scooters and people walking by. It is a modest place where we focus on surgical works. Inside, you will see a lot of workbenches covered in small metal parts and the tools we use to assemble them. There is no big sign or a fancy entrance; most people who come here already know where we are or have been referred by someone else. The air inside smells like oil and sharpened metal. We spend many hours sitting at our stations, working on the finer details of the equipment. Sometimes the light in the shop is a bit dim, so we have extra lamps at every desk to help us see what we are doing. It is a steady, quiet kind of work that requires a lot of concentration. We drink quite a bit of tea throughout the day to keep ourselves going. It is a small team, and we all help each other out when there is a big order to finish. By the time the school day ends and the street gets busy again, we are usually wrapping up our own work for the evening.
