Our place is over in the Functional Industrial Estate in Patparganj. If you’ve ever tried to get here during rush hour near the Anand Vihar Metro Station, you know it can be a bit of a headache with all the crowds and the rickshaws. Anand Surgical Industries (India) has been at No. 267 for quite some time. It’s not the kind of place with a lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Mostly, you’ll find us in the back with the machines or organizing the boxes for shipment. We make surgical equipment, which means we have to stay focused and keep things tidy, even if the building itself looks a bit old from the outside. The neighborhood is full of other small workshops, so there’s always the sound of metal or trucks in the background. We usually grab lunch at the small stalls nearby. It’s a simple life here. We don't spend money on fancy ads. We just make sure the items we produce are what the doctors asked for. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, but we’ve gotten used to that over the years. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a regular business run by regular people who’ve been in this trade long enough to know the ropes without needing a handbook. We often have to double-check the packing lists because nobody wants a mistake when it comes to hospital gear. It is just us doing the daily grind.
