You’ll find Euro Merchandise (India) Ltd. on the second floor of a building in Acharya Niketan. If you know Mayur Vihar Phase-1, you know how crowded it gets around here with all the shops and people. Being on the second floor means we carry a lot of stuff up and down the stairs, which keeps us fit, I guess. We deal with various types of merchandise, mostly acting as a middle point for things moving through Delhi. The office isn't very large, and it’s usually packed with boxes waiting to be sorted. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. It’s just us at our desks or in the warehouse area. We’ve been at this address for a good number of years now. The tea stalls downstairs are where we spend our breaks. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don't put out fancy ads; most of our work comes from people we've known for a decade. Sometimes the traffic in Mayur Vihar makes it hard for the delivery vans to reach us, so we have to coordinate everything very carefully. It's a bit of a juggle, but we enjoy the rhythm of the market. We are just a group of people making sure the merchandise gets where it needs to go. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s a busy life, but it’s our life. We stay until the last box is gone and the shop shutters start coming down for the night.
