Pragatishil Womens Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of women from Ghanshyampur and Maheshpur who decided to come together. Our main meeting point is at Arali Mal’s house, Number 32. It’s a busy household, and there’s always someone coming or going. Being part of this producer company has changed how we look at our daily chores and farm work. Most of us have been farming our whole lives, but doing it together makes the long days feel a bit shorter. We talk about everything from the price of seeds to what we’re cooking for dinner while we work. Ghanshyampur is a quiet village, but we stay busy. Sometimes it’s hard to balance the farm work with taking care of our homes and kids, but we manage. We aren’t experts with big degrees; we just know what works in our soil. Arali’s place is where we keep our records and have our discussions. It’s not a formal office by any means. Usually, there are kids running around and tea being made while we talk about the harvest. We face a lot of challenges, especially when the water is scarce or the pests get into the crops. But we don't give up easily. We’ve learned a lot from each other over the years. The Maheshpur area is small, but it’s home to many hardworking families like ours. It’s just a group of local women trying to make a living and keep our farms going through the tough seasons in Jharkhand.
