Yugpravartak Sharad Joshi Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Sarve, which is in the Shindakheda area of Dhule. We are located at Gulabsing Raghuvanshi’s place, right at 1/1 Sarve. This is a company run by farmers for farmers. We name it after Sharad Joshi because his ideas mean something to us here in the village. We aren't some big city firm. Most of us have calloused hands from working the soil all day. We use Gulabsing’s place to keep our books and hold our meetings when we need to decide on seeds or where to sell our harvest. Dhule is a tough place for farming sometimes, with the weather and the markets, but we stay at it. We are just local people trying to make a living from the land. There’s no big marketing team here, just us talking to each other. We handle the daily tasks of running a producer group, which means a lot of talking to neighbors and trying to get a good deal for everyone’s hard work. It's a practical way to manage things. We don't spend much on fancy stuff. Every bit of money we save or make goes back into the farms or helping the members. It’s honest work and it’s what we know. If you come to Sarve, you’ll find us working or sitting together at Gulabsing’s place trying to figure out the next season. It’s not always easy but it is what we do to get by in this district.
