It is a quiet place for the most part, and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We started this company because we were tired of being the last ones to know what was happening with the prices and the new ways of planting. Most of us here have small plots of land, and it is hard to make a go of it when you are just one person. We use our spot in Sani Galli to store some supplies and sit down to figure out our plans for the next season. It is a very hands-on kind of thing. We don't have any secretaries or big desks. We have farmers with dirt under their fingernails and a lot of practical experience. Sometimes we argue about which seeds are better or when to sell, but at the end of the day, we are all on the same side. We just want to keep our way of life going. The hills around here can be tough, and the soil isn't always kind, but we make do with what we have. It’s about sticking together when things get difficult and sharing the load so no one person has to carry it all themselves. That’s why we’re here.
