Out here in Shindkheda, especially around Padawad, things move at their own pace. Jay Khandesh Krushi Producer Company Limited is just a bunch of us who live near address 777. We started this because the market in Dhule is far and doing everything on your own is just too much. Most of us grew up on these farms and don't know much else besides soil and seasons. It's a lot of physical labor, getting the tools ready and making sure the water reaches where it should. We aren't big shots. We just sit together, maybe drink some tea, and talk about how to get a better price for what we grow. The paperwork part is always a headache, but we manage. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us at all, but that's just how it goes in farming. We don't have some big corporate plan. It's more about helping a neighbor out when their tractor breaks or when someone needs a hand with harvesting. We've got our small office in Padawad but you'll mostly find us out in the dirt. It’s a bit messy and loud sometimes, but it’s our life. We just try to keep things honest and work hard every day. Farming isn't pretty, it's just what we do to live. It is what it is. We are okay with that way of life.
