Shivpratap Krushivikas Producer Company Limited is based out of Shirpur. We are located on Nimzari Road, specifically at Gautam Nagar, at Shri Pratap Uttamrao Sardar’s house. This isn't some high-rise office building. It's a home where we do our business. Shirpur is a busy place and there’s always something happening with the local farmers. We got together because doing everything on your own is just too difficult these days. Whether it is buying supplies or trying to find someone to take our crops, it works better when we do it as a group. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors and seeing what they need. Some days are slow and we just sit around Nimzari Road watching the traffic. Other days, it’s a total rush to get everything loaded and moved. We don’t have any polished speeches or big promises to make. We just work. The paperwork is a bit of a pain, but we manage it between the actual farming. Most of us have been in Gautam Nagar for years, so we know the people and we know the land. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s ours and we make it work as best as we can without any outside help. It is about the community and making sure we can all keep our heads above water. We just keep our feet on the ground and do what we have always done for the town.
