Sh. Ganesh Stone Ind. is located on Bari Road in Sarmathura, right near the Bijoli Taal. This part of the country is known for its stone, and we are right in the heart of it. We work with the local sandstone that comes from the nearby quarries. It’s a very physical business. Our yard is filled with large blocks and slabs of stone in various shades of red and pink. You can hear the sound of saws cutting through stone all day long. It’s a loud and dusty environment, but that is how it’s always been here. We have a crew that knows how to handle the heavy pieces without breaking them. People come to us when they need stone for building walls or paving paths. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just work out of our spot on Bari Road. The Bijoli Taal is a good landmark for people trying to find us. We spend most of our time out in the sun, moving the inventory around or loading up a tractor-trolley. The stone business is tough on the hands and the back, but it's what we do. We take the raw blocks and turn them into something people can actually use for their homes. It is a simple life and a simple business. We just try to get the orders done on time so the builders aren't waiting on us. It’s honest work that stays pretty constant.
