Vel Murugan Granites

We are located right on the Krishnagiri Main Road, specifically at Scf. No. 20/1A in Nallanhalli. Being on NH.7 means there is always a lot of noise from the trucks passing by at all hours. It’s a busy corridor for the stone industry. We operate out of Maravadi and have been here for a good amount of time. Our yard is filled with granite that we’ve brought in for processing. It’s a dusty job, and the sun beats down on the yard all day, making it pretty hot. We have a small office on-site, but most of the action happens outside with the slabs. People driving along the highway often stop in to see what we have in the yard. We aren't salesmen, really. We just show people what’s in the stacks and let the stone speak for itself. Some days are just about maintenance—fixing a blade or cleaning up the slurry from the cutting process. It’s not glamorous work. We’ve got a couple of guys who have been with us since the start. We know the rhythm of the highway and the local weather patterns that affect our outdoor work. It’s a basic operation. We don't have a corporate office in the city with air conditioning. We are right here where the granite is. It’s a practical business, and we just try to get through our daily list of tasks without too much fuss or extra talk. That is just how we do things here.
