Madhav Marbles And Granites

We've been over here in Thoppur for a while now, right in the Dharmapuri district. It’s mostly just us dealing with the heavy slabs every day. If you drive down this way, you’ll see Madhav Marbles And Granites. It’s a lot of lifting and cutting stone, which gets dusty, but that’s the job. People come by looking for stuff for their floors or maybe a kitchen counter. We don't do anything fancy with the sales pitch, just show what we have in stock. Some days it's busy with trucks coming in and out, other days it’s quiet. We try to keep things organized but a stone yard is always going to have a bit of a mess. My hands are usually covered in dust by noon. Dharmapuri is a good place for this kind of work. We keep the marble and granite sitting out in the yard. Some pieces stay there for a long time. Moving heavy slabs without breaking them is hard, and you learn to be careful after a few years of doing this. We just stay here in Thoppur and get on with it. Not much else to say really. We open up early because the heat gets bad later on. If someone needs a piece of stone, they find us. We don't have a big office or anything, just the yard and the equipment we need to move the heavy stuff. It's a lot of physical labor and we just focus on getting through the pile.
