Sonamati Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Gram Gola Guthan in Tehsil Satwas. You have to look for the Vibhavari Society to find us. It’s a small community and everyone pretty much knows where everyone else is. We are a group of farmers who decided to pool our resources. It’s not a big office with air conditioning. Usually, we just sit together and figure out who is planting what. Satwas is a nice area, but you have to work hard to get a good crop out of the ground. We spend most of our time worrying about the monsoon and the prices of diesel. It’s a very practical life. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just grow things and try to sell them. The society is just a place for us to gather and keep our records straight. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing, but we help each other out. We’ve been part of this village for a long time. Our families are all here. We aren't trying to be some big corporate company. We just want to make sure the farmers in Gola Guthan get a fair deal. It’s honest work and it takes up all our time, but that’s just how it is.
