Our office is situated on Savarkar Marg in Khategaon, which is a pretty well-known part of the Dewas district. Nabhikund Farmers Producer Companylimited is what’s written on the sign, and we are tucked in near the Kirapa place. Khategaon is a town that really hums during the harvest months. You see trailers full of grain everywhere and the market stays open late. We are a group that came together because it was getting harder to do everything alone. Now we use this space on Savarkar Marg to organize things and help out the local growers. It’s a practical setup with some desks and a lot of paperwork piled up. We don’t spend much on decorations because that isn't what we are here for. The walls are a bit dusty and the fan makes a clicking sound, but it gets the job done. People walk in from the street all the time to chat about the latest news from the fields or to complain about the price of fertilizer. We listen and we do what we can to keep the records straight. It is a long process to get everyone on the same page, but we are making it work one day at a time in Khategaon. The road outside is usually noisy with motorbikes and people shouting, which is just how life is in this part of Dewas.
