The kitchen gets really hot in the afternoons here at B-29 Parawana Appt. We’ve been in Mayur Vihar Ph-1 for a good while now and the routine doesn't change much. Every morning starts with chopping vegetables and making sure the stove is ready to go. You can hear the sounds of the street from the window, and Delhi 91 always seems to be moving fast. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just us working in the back and people coming in to pick up their food. Sometimes the delivery guys are waiting around and we chat about the traffic. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit crowded when we have a lot of orders at once. We’ve got a couple of old chairs that people sit on while they wait. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving boxes around. We don’t really worry about the look of the place too much as long as the food is getting made. It’s a lot of work and our hands are usually busy with something. By the time we close up, we're pretty tired. Mayur Vihar has a lot of people, and it feels like we know half of them by now just from them stopping by. We just stay focused on what’s in front of us. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do every single day here at Yo China.
