Yo China

Yo China is our place over in New Delhi, specifically in the 110059 area. It is a food business, so most of our time is spent in the kitchen or making sure the dining area is somewhat tidy. Running a restaurant in a city like Delhi is never quiet. There is always something sizzing on the stove or a delivery driver waiting at the door. We don't have a team of corporate managers. It is just us and the cooks and the people who wait on tables. The kitchen gets really hot and crowded during the dinner rush, but that is just part of the job. We don't try to make the food sound fancier than it is. It is just good, hot food for people who are hungry. We spend a lot of time cleaning floors and washing dishes because that is what keeps a place running. Our address is right in the heart of the community here. Some days everything goes smooth, and other days the fridge might act up or we run out of a certain ingredient, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. We have some regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They don't need a menu; they just sit down and we know what they want. That makes the long hours feel a bit better. We aren't looking to change the world. We just want to serve a decent meal and keep the lights on for another day.
