Our branch is at H-40 in Shivaji Park, right in the Punjabi Bagh area of New Delhi. It’s a well-known corner of the neighborhood, and we’ve been part of the daily routine for a lot of people around here. The office is usually humming with the sound of the air conditioner and the steady beep of the machines. We don’t have a lot of space for anything fancy, so it’s mostly just the counters and the waiting area where people sit while we sort out their accounts. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their banking done before work. We handle a lot of cash, a lot of paperwork, and plenty of questions about savings and loans. The atmosphere is professional but definitely has that local feel because we see the same faces every week. We know which customers like to chat and which ones are in a big hurry. The staff is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s helping someone at the ATM or filing documents in the back room. It’s not a quiet job, and the phones are almost always ringing, but that’s just how it is in Punjabi Bagh. We just focus on keeping things moving so nobody has to wait longer than necessary in the heat outside. There is always a stack of deposit slips by the door.
