We are tucked away in Sector-8 of R K Puram at N-289. It’s a standard residential area with lots of government flats and green patches where people walk in the evenings. This isn't the big corporate headquarters you see in the news; it's just a local branch office where we handle the Yatra.Com bookings. We have a few computers and a landline that seems to ring at the most inconvenient times throughout the day. The space is simple with just enough room for us to sit and talk to anyone who drops by with questions about their travel plans or canceled flights. Usually, it's people from the neighborhood looking for a train ticket or a cheap flight to see their family. We have a small cooler for water and some old calendars on the wall that we forget to flip. The sunlight comes in quite strongly through the window in the morning, so we have to keep the curtains pulled halfway to see the screens clearly. It’s a very relaxed environment overall. We aren't wearing suits or anything formal. My colleague and I just try to keep the system updated and help people navigate the website if they find it confusing on their own phones. R K Puram is a nice place to work because it’s central but doesn't feel as chaotic as the busy markets. We just take it one booking at a time and try to make sure nobody leaves with a wrong ticket or the wrong dates. It’s just us doing our best to help out.
