We've been sitting here in Batla House for a while now, just doing our thing with travel bookings and all that. It gets pretty loud outside sometimes with all the New Delhi traffic, but inside we just focus on the screens and the phones. It’s a lot of work handling tickets and trying to get people where they need to go without too much trouble. We aren't a giant fancy corporate building with glass walls, just a regular office where we drink too much tea and talk about the latest train delays or flight changes. Sometimes the internet slows down when it rains, which is a pain, but we manage to get things sorted eventually. People think working in travel is all about vacations, but for us, it is mostly about spreadsheets and making sure the names on the tickets are spelled right. We have a few desks squeezed in here and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. Most days are just a blur of phone calls and emails. We know the local area well and the guys downstairs always have the best snacks when we take a break. It is just a normal job with normal people trying to help out with travel plans from this little corner of Delhi 110025. We don’t have any big speeches to give, just desks and computers and a lot of work to do every day. We try to keep it simple and just stay on top of the bookings.
