Yatra

Yatra is currently operating through someone who is pursuing a Master in Tourism Management at IGNOU here in New Delhi. It is not really a big corporate office with a lobby and a receptionist. It is more of a personal project based around the studies happening at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. Being a student while also trying to run things means the schedule is always a bit all over the place. One day it is exams, and the next day it is trying to figure out travel routes for someone. It is a very hands-on way to learn the tourism business. We do not have a fancy address in a big business park; it is just tied to the academic life in Delhi. The focus is really on understanding how travel works from the ground up. It involves a lot of reading, a lot of planning, and a lot of learning from small mistakes. There is no big marketing team here, just a lot of coffee and textbooks on the table. It is a bit of a struggle to balance everything, but it is interesting to see the theory from the Master's program put into actual practice. We are not trying to be the biggest travel company out there right now. We are just starting out, learning the ropes, and seeing where this whole tourism path leads us in the future.
