You can find our office at Flat 370/3 in Paschim Puri, which is part of the Paschim Vihar area in New Delhi. It’s a residential-feeling spot, but we’ve got our whole setup here for the Yatra Online business. It gets pretty cramped inside with all the servers and black cables running along the floor in the corners. We’ve had to tape some of them down with duct tape so nobody trips during the morning rush. Most of our day is spent looking at glowing screens and talking to people on the phone about their travel plans. We aren’t located in some big fancy glass tower in the middle of a business district; we’re just tucked away in a regular flat doing our thing. The walls are a plain off-white color and we have a couple of dying plants on the windowsills that we always keep forgetting to water. It’s a busy atmosphere because there’s always someone calling about a booking or a last-minute change in their plans. We don’t use a lot of big words or fancy marketing talk here. We just try to help folks get where they’re going without too much of a headache for them. The local market nearby is where we get our afternoon snacks. It’s a decent place to work, even if the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise every twenty minutes or so. We’re just a bunch of people working hard to keep the website running and the phones answered.
