Yashoda Hospital Ghaziabad

It is always a bit loud around here in Ghaziabad. Our building is right in the middle of everything, so you hear the traffic and the horns all day long from the street. Inside, it is a different kind of busy. The floors are white and the nurses are usually moving fast between the rooms. People come here from all over the city when they are not feeling well. We have been here for a good amount of time now. Most of us who work here live nearby, so we know the shortcuts and where to get the best tea during a short break. It is not a fancy place where everything looks perfect, but we try to keep things moving. Sometimes the waiting area gets really full and it feels a bit cramped, especially in the mornings, but that is just how it is in a city like this. We spend our days checking charts and talking to families who are waiting for news. The elevators are sometimes slow when everyone is trying to use them at once, so most of us just take the stairs if we are only going up a floor or two. You see a lot of different faces every day. Some people look very worried and others are just waiting to go home. We just do our jobs and go home at the end of the shift. It is a lot of work keeping a place like this running, but we are used to the pace by now.
