Xchanging

Our place is on the second floor of a double story building in Kalkajee. If you know New Delhi, you know Kalkajee is always buzzing with people and traffic. We are at 110019, right in the middle of all that action. The stairs up to the second floor can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying stuff, but you get used to it after a few weeks. We deal with resin and other materials here at Xchanging, and it can get a bit dusty sometimes, but that is just part of the job. It is not one of those shiny glass buildings you see in the newer parts of town. It feels more like a real workplace where people actually get their hands dirty. We have been at this Kalkajee location for a while. The neighborhood has changed, shops coming and going, but we are still here in the same double story spot. Most of the staff has been around for years, so we all know each other’s names and how we take our chai in the morning. It is a bit crowded with all the desks and the stock we keep, but we manage to find what we need. When the power goes out, we just sit by the window and wait for the generator to kick in. It is just a normal day for us, really. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and making sure the orders are right before they go out. It’s a busy life.
