We’re over in Block-C of Pandav Nagar, running this travel business out of Flat 21. It’s a residential area, so it feels more like a home than a proper office. We’ve got maps on the walls and a couple of computers that have seen better days. Delhi-91 is our home base, and we spend most of our time on the phone or looking up flights for people. It’s just a few of us here, and things can get a bit cluttered with all the brochures and ticket printouts. We don’t have a big storefront with a neon sign. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they live in the same block. Planning a trip is stressful for people, so we sit down with them and try to figure out the dates. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to keep refreshing the pages, which is frustrating. We handle passports and visas too, which involves a lot of checking and re-checking forms. We’ve been here for a while, so we know the local post office and the courier guys well. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like hearing about the places people are going. We just drink our coffee and work through the bookings one by one. It’s a small, quiet operation, and that’s how we like to keep it. We just want to help folks get where they’re going without too much trouble. It takes time, but we get there eventually.
