With The Cannaught

Our place is located at A-15 in Siddhart Nagar, which is right by the Ashram area in New Delhi. Being near 110014 means we are right in the thick of the city traffic and all the noise and people that come with it every day. We’ve been operating from this building for a while now. It’s a straightforward setup where we handle the hospitality side of things for the hotel. We spend a lot of time dealing with guest check-ins and making sure the rooms are actually ready when they say they are. It’s not always easy, especially when the laundry is late or a pipe starts leaking in one of the bathrooms. We just deal with those things as they happen, one at a time. The office isn’t anything special to look at, just some chairs and a front desk that has a few scratches on it from years of use. We like being in Ashram because it’s a central spot for people to get to. Most of our staff lives nearby, so we are a local bunch. We don't use any big corporate manuals; we just use our common sense to help the people who stay with us. Some days it’s very quiet, and other days we have people lining up out the door wanting help. We just try to stay patient and get everyone sorted. It’s a lot of work keeping a place like this running.
