West Park

We’ve been at 4/30 for a while now. Lodhi Colony is a nice spot, usually quiet except for the morning traffic. It’s mostly us and a few helpers keeping West Park going. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls, just this place on the ground floor. Most days it’s just sorting out the daily work and making sure everything is in its place. Sometimes the neighbors pop in for a chat which slows us down, but that’s just how it is here. New Delhi gets really hot in June, so we spend most of the afternoon trying to keep the place cool. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage. You’ll see the sign right by the gate if you’re looking for us. We handle everything ourselves, from the cleaning to the phone calls. It’s not always perfectly organized, but the work gets done by the end of the day. Some people think we should expand or move to a bigger market, but we like it here in this corner. It’s familiar. We know the milkman and the guy who fixes the rickshaws down the road. It feels like home more than a business most of the time. If you come by, you’ll probably find one of us sitting at the old wooden desk by the window. That’s where most of the thinking happens, even if it’s just about what to have for lunch. It is just us here.
