Doing web design in a city like Delhi is a bit of a whirlwind. My workspace is pretty simple—just a desk, a couple of monitors, and way too many cables tangled up on the floor. I’ve been doing this for a long time now, and it’s mostly just me or a couple of helpers when things get really busy. I don't go for the whole agency vibe with the fancy titles and the expensive coffee machines. It’s more about sitting down and figuring out why a button isn’t working or how to make a page look decent on a phone. Delhi is a loud, fast place, so I usually keep my headphones on to stay focused. People call me up because they want a website that actually works without any of the fluff. I spend a lot of my time explaining that you don't need a hundred moving parts to have a good site. Some days are slow, just tweaking colors or updating text, while other days I’m up late trying to hit a deadline because the power went out earlier. It's a practical way to make a living. I meet clients in small cafes or sometimes they just come over and we sit on the old sofa and talk about their business. There’s no big sales pitch here. I just show them what I’ve built before and we go from there. It's honest work in a very busy, noisy city.
