We are based right here in Kota, over in the Dadwara area at House Number 72. Most people know this city for the coaching centers and students everywhere, but our little spot is focused on travel things. It is just an ordinary house that we turned into an office space. It’s not one of those shiny buildings you see in the big cities. Inside, there are a few desks, some old chairs, and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. The Rajasthan heat can be pretty bad in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day long. The neighborhood is fairly quiet except for the usual sounds of the street. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat while we are working on flight bookings or train schedules. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know the routes well and spend most of our time on the phone or computer. The printer makes a loud noise every time it starts up, which is basically every ten minutes. It’s a bit messy with papers and tea cups, but that is how we work. People from around the colony often drop in to ask about bus timings or how to get a passport done. We just sit there and help them out without any fuss. It is a simple setup in a regular street, and that is basically the whole story of Voyageurs India in Kota.
