Bhagirathi Palace is a maze, honestly. Our shop at 1667-B is right in the middle of all that chaos in Chandni Chowk. You have to walk through those narrow lanes where people are pushing carts and carrying big boxes on their heads. It’s a lot to take in if you aren't used to it. The shop itself is small. We have intercom sets and wires all over the place. Sometimes the wires get tangled and it takes us forever to straighten them out. It’s not a quiet place to work. There’s always someone yelling for a rickshaw or another shopkeeper talking loudly next door. We’ve got a small mezzanine floor where we store the extra stock, and the stairs are really steep, so you have to be careful. The lighting isn't great, but we know where everything is kept. Most of our day is spent answering the phone or showing someone how a specific handset works. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It’s just us. We eat our lunch quickly behind the counter when there’s a gap in customers. Sometimes the monsoon rain leaks a little near the front door, so we keep a bucket handy. It’s a very old building, so these things happen. We just deal with it and keep the business running.
