Vodafone

Our office is over in Pundrik Vihar, which is a decent enough part of Pitam Pura. We are at D-206. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s not as loud as being right on the main road, which is nice for getting things done. Vodafone has been using this space for a while now. We have a small crew here. Usually, the morning starts with someone complaining about the traffic on the Outer Ring Road or how long the metro took. Then we get the tea going and start looking at what needs to be done for the day. The building is just a standard Pitam Pura house that was converted for work. It’s got that New Delhi feel where everything is a bit cramped but cozy at the same time. We don't have any of those fancy slogans or posters on the walls. It’s just plain walls and a few maps pinned up. Sometimes the internet acts up, which is a bit funny given the business, but we manage. People from the neighborhood sometimes walk by and peek in to see what we are doing. It’s a very grounded way to work. We aren't tucked away in some high-rise where you can't even see the ground. We see the seasons change right from the window. The rain makes the street a bit muddy, and the sun hits the front door hard in the afternoon. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay organized and quiet.
