Our shop is located at M-48 in Mahavir Nagar, which is part of the Janakpuri area in New Delhi. It is a busy little corner of the city, and we are right in the middle of all the noise and activity. We spend most of our time helping people with their phone connections, dealing with SIM cards, and trying to explain why their bills are the way they are. It is a lot of face-to-face work and the line can get pretty long, especially on Monday mornings. The shop isn't huge, so it gets a bit cramped when there are more than five or six people inside at once. We have a few chairs for people to wait, but they are usually full. The air conditioner works hard in the summer, but with the door opening and closing all day, it is always a bit warm inside. We aren't corporate executives; we are just the staff on the ground who hear all the complaints and try to fix what we can. Outside, the market is always loud with hawkers and traffic, so it is never really quiet here until we pull the shutters down at night. We’ve been at this location for a while and we know the other shopkeepers on the block quite well. It is just a regular job in a busy part of Delhi, and we do our best to get through the queue every day and keep things moving.
