Vodafone

Our little spot is at Rz/ J 25 in Old Roshan Pura, right in Najafgarh. It’s a very busy part of Delhi with a lot of dust and noise from the road. We are a Vodafone point, so people are always coming in because their phone isn't working or they need a new SIM card. The office isn't very big. We have a counter and some stools. It’s usually quite crowded in the mornings. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. Just the stuff we need to get the phones registered. The sun hits the front window in the afternoon and makes it really bright inside. Sometimes we have to hang a cloth over the glass to keep the heat out. We know a lot of the local guys who come in every month to pay their bills. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sell people things they don't need. They just tell us what’s wrong and we try to fix it on the computer. It’s simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till night. The neighbors are nice and we often share news about what’s happening on the street. It’s not like a big mall store. It’s more like a local shop where you can just drop in. We keep our paperwork in folders on the back shelf. It’s a bit disorganized but we know where everything is. This is just how we do business here.
