Virgin Atlantic Airways

Our office is based in the 110070 area of New Delhi, which is basically the Vasant Kunj side of town. It is a bit different from being right at the airport, even though we spend all day thinking about planes and travel. The office is a fairly quiet place most of the time. We spend a lot of our hours looking at flight schedules and talking to people about where they need to go. It is a lot of logistics and checking numbers on screens. We have a small group of people here who have been working together for a few years. We are not into big corporate speeches or anything like that. We just focus on the tickets and the passengers. Vasant Kunj is a nice enough place to work, with some greenery around and less noise than the central parts of the city. Sometimes it gets a bit repetitive, but there is always something to fix or a flight to track. We drink a lot of chai during the afternoon slump. The desks are usually covered in post-it notes and half-empty water bottles. It is just a real office where real people work. We do not pretend to be anything more than a dedicated team trying to keep things on track. We stay pretty busy, but we always find time to complain about the heat or the traffic like everyone else in Delhi.
