If you ever find yourself in Palam Colony, you might pass by our office at Rz-563 on Street Number 21B. We are tucked away in Shad Nagar Part-2, which is a lively part of New Delhi. Our day usually starts early because facility management doesn't really sleep. We have people coming in to pick up their assignments or drop off supplies for various buildings we look after. It’s a lot of coordination, and the phone doesn't stop ringing from morning until the sun goes down. The office itself is quite simple, just some chairs and a big table where we spread out our maps and schedules. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and we like that it’s right in the middle of a residential area. It makes the work feel more grounded. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the street outside a bit muddy, but we just deal with it. We aren't a giant corporation with fancy suits; we’re just regular people who know how to fix things and keep buildings running. Whether it’s cleaning or fixing a leak, we manage the staff who go out and do the physical labor. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to people on the ground. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during the long shifts. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us on our toes and provides for our families.
