If you know Chandni Chowk then you know how crazy Nai Sarak can be. Our office for Vfs Global Services Pvt. Ltd. is at 4226 on the 3rd Floor. Getting up here is an adventure because the lanes are so narrow and always full of people and carts. The building is old like everything else in this part of Delhi. We spend our days dealing with a lot of paperwork and people coming in with their passports. It gets really hot in the afternoons and the ceiling fans just move the warm air around mostly. We have desks covered in folders and stamps. Because we are on the 3rd floor we can hear all the shouting from the market down below. It’s a very busy environment and we don’t have much time for sitting around. The light in the hallway is a bit dim and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We just do our jobs and try to get through the stack of applications. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in so we can use the computers again. It’s not a polished office with glass walls. It’s a real place in the heart of the old city where things are a bit messy but they get done. We’ve been at this Nai Sarak address for a long time and we are just used to the chaos.
