The office is located at Hn 930/9 in Govindpuri, which is right in the Kalkaji area of New Delhi. If you know this part of the city, you know how crowded the lanes can get. Finding a parking spot near the building is always a bit of a gamble. Vfs Global Services Delhi operates out of this house-turned-office setup. It feels more like a home than a corporate building, which I guess makes it feel a bit more relaxed. We have a few rooms dedicated to the work we do. There are stacks of papers on some desks and the computers are almost always running. Delhi summers are tough, so the air conditioning stays on full blast most of the day. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost trying to find the specific house number because the numbering in Govindpuri is a bit confusing to outsiders. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at keyboards. It’s a busy environment but we try to keep things moving along. Usually, we take our lunch together or just grab something quick from one of the stalls nearby. The neighbors are mostly families, so there is always the sound of kids playing or people shouting down the street. It is a practical place to work from. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights outside. It’s just us here in Kalkaji doing what needs doing.
