Verma Turbo Centre

Our shop is on Roshanara Road, at number 3912. Verma Turbo Centre has been here for a good while. We mainly deal with turbochargers and the engine parts that go with them. It gets pretty greasy and messy in here, but that is just the nature of the job. People bring in their cars or sometimes just the parts when things aren’t running right. We spend a lot of time looking at metal pieces and trying to figure out why they stopped spinning. Roshanara Road is a really busy spot for auto parts, so we see a lot of mechanics every single day. It’s not a showroom or a retail store. It is a working shop with tools scattered everywhere and boxes stacked up to the ceiling. My brother and I run the place mostly. We aren’t big on fancy talk or sales pitches. If a turbo can be fixed, we tell you straight. If it is just junk, we will tell you that too. The air here usually smells like oil and old iron. We have some regular customers from out of town who send us parts by courier for us to look at. Most of our day is just taking things apart and putting them back together. It can be quite loud with the street traffic and the air compressor going. We keep a ledger for the accounts and a pot of tea for anyone waiting. We try to stay organized but sometimes it gets ahead of us.
