Our workplace is situated inside Dwarkadheesh Apartments at Flat No 267, which is in Pkt 2, Sector 12 of Dwarka. It’s a bit of an unusual spot for a business since it’s a residential building, but that’s where we are. The company name is Vcustomer Customer India Pvt Ltd, and it’s basically an international call center. Because of the nature of the work, our hours are quite different from most people in the complex. We are often busy and talking on the phones late at night or very early in the morning. Inside the flat, it’s mostly just rows of computers and people wearing headsets. It can get pretty noisy when everyone is on a call at the same time. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and coffee to stay awake during the long shifts. The security guards at the apartment gate are used to seeing us come and go at odd hours. We don’t have any big signs outside, so you really have to know which flat to look for. Most of the staff are young people from across Delhi who don't mind the strange schedule. The air conditioning is always running to keep the equipment from overheating. It’s a busy, functional environment without any fancy trimmings or a big lobby. We just show up, put on our headsets, and do the work until the shift is over. It’s a simple, hardworking life.
